All our inventory is under one roof, and we have expanded. We provide the modelers of the OKC Metro a place to shop and meet other likeminded modelers. It's a place where ideas are shared, discussions are encouraged, and modelers can come hang out with fellow modelers.
We have NEW kits, pre-owned kits, decals, hobby supplies and accessories.
We are open Saturdays from 8-1 unless we are at a show.
We know not everyone can make it on a Saturday morning- so we offer evenings by appointments. Give us a call at 405-998-5017 to schedule an appointment.

We try to add kits weekly to the online store. All orders ship from Oklahoma City and we go to the post office or UPS daily.

About Black Widow Models
What began as an innocent comment among a group of wives at the annual model club Christmas party has grown into something truly meaningful—Black Widow Models. Every modeler eventually faces the question: What happens to the collection when it’s time to downsize or when the building stops?
That’s where we come in.
At Black Widow Models, we work directly with families to respectfully and efficiently manage the process of removing modeling collections from homes, garages, or storage spaces. Whether it's a single shelf or a lifetime’s worth of kits, decals, and accessories, we handle the entire process—from boxing and loading to transportation—leaving our clients with both peace of mind and cash in hand.
For collections located too far for in-person pickup, we provide clear guidance and support for shipping, ensuring a smooth transition no matter the distance.
Our mission is simple: to keep great preowned model kits out of landfills and in the hands of passionate builders who will truly appreciate them.
We launched www.blackwidowokc.com in 2023 with a modest collection of kits sourced from various shows and small private collections. Our journey took a big step forward when we acquired the renowned private collection of Jerry Crandall—so important to us that we flew to Montana to pick it up ourselves!
Since then, we've continued expanding, purchasing collections from across the region, including Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, South Carolina, and our home state of Oklahoma.
By 2024, one of the collections we acquired was so large that we knew it was time to find a physical location. That led to the opening of Black Widow Models in Del City, Oklahoma on March 16, 2024. In January of 2025 we expanded next door and are selling NEW kits, decals and hobby supplies.
We’re open to the public almost every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Because we actively support local model clubs and contests, we do occasionally close on Saturdays to attend those events. We will post closing notices on Facebook and on the website as well as posters in the store
We also offer evening appointments for anyone who wants to browse outside regular hours. Since we both work full-time, we don’t keep set evening hours—but if you reach out to us, we’ll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Whether you're looking for rare kits, building your collection, or just want to talk scale models, we’d love to meet you. We're always happy to help.
Our kits are pre-owned from private collections. We try to examine each one to make sure that all of the kits are complete before we sell them online or in person.
We are stocking NEW KITS and have added tools, and hobby supplies to our in-store inventory.
Our inventory is constantly changing and growing as we are constantly purchasing collections from individuals and families.
